Bellydance Fusion

Learn basic bellydance techniques, costuming, and choreography, drawing from the ethnic dance from Spain, Turkey, Morocco, and India. A basic belly dance class begins with warm-ups, posture, technique, and isolation.  Learn proper bellydance posture, isolations to bring awareness to the body, exercises to build strength and stamina, gain flexibility, encourage stress relief, and dance!  Choreography, individual expression, improvisation, and performance presentation are then explored. Participants would learn expressive movements and how to create these movements to the rhythm of the music. Participants may showcase what they have learned in a student hafla!                                      

 

 

Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini yoga (as taught by Yogi Bhajan) is called the yoga of awareness.  Kundalini yoga is beneficial for strengthening the nervous system and balancing the emotions.  During class, a Kundalini yoga kriya is taught. 

A kriya is a specific sequence of postures, breath, and sound designed to affect the body, mind, and spirit, working on all levels simultaneously.  During this Kundalini yoga series, Yoga for Beginners, learn kriyas, mantras, and meditations to help you create a yogic lifestyle.

 

Hatha Yoga

Learn to relax and relieve stress with yoga poses, breathing techniques and mindfulness exercises.  This class draws from different styles of yoga and is great for beginning and intermediate students.

Partner Yoga 

Build strength, flexibility, and a closer bond to a partner, parent, child, or sibling.  With your partners help, you will go through a sequence of yoga poses while you learn to give and receive physical, mental, and spiritual support.
